API Terms of Service

1. API Access

Version 1 (v1) - Public API

• Access: Public, no authentication required
• Rate Limit: 500 requests/day per IP
• Data: Basic fields, cached for 5 minutes
• Use: Suitable for public websites and simple apps

Version 2 (v2) - Premium API

• Access: Requires API token
• Rate Limit: 1000 requests/day per user
• Data: Advanced fields, cached for 2 minutes
• Use: Ideal for commercial applications

2. Fair Use Policy

• Max Requests: 60/minute
• Concurrent Connections: 3 per IP
• Request Size: Up to 1MB
• Interval: 1 second between identical requests

Automated systems block excessive or abusive usage patterns.

3. Data Usage

Permitted Uses

• Integration in apps and websites
• Data analysis and research
• Product comparison tools

Restrictions

• No redistribution of raw data
• No automated scraping or harvesting

Caching

• v1: Cache up to 24 hours
• v2: Cache up to 12 hours
• Respect Cache-Control headers

4. Attribution

• Credit "Robbie Fall Cycles" as the data source
• Include a link to our website
• Display the last updated timestamp for cached data

5. Service Commitment

• Uptime: 99.9%
• Maintenance: 48-hour notice for scheduled updates
• Deprecation: 6 months notice for API changes

6. Security

• Keep API tokens secure
• Use HTTPS for all requests
• Report vulnerabilities to siteadmin@robbiefallcycles.cc

7. Termination

Access may be revoked for:

• Violating terms
• Excessive errors
• Abuse or security concerns
